    2. To comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which goes into effect on May 25, 2018, we are currently updating our privacy policy for NCSOFT account holders. We’re working to offer an even greater focus on protecting your data, privacy, and increase the transparency on what we do with collected data. You can view our updated Privacy Policy here. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to continuing to deliver unique game experiences to all our players!
    3. IMPORTANT: Code of Conduct

Welcome to the AION: Legions of War Discussion Forums! These forums were created so players like you have a fun and friendly environment to discuss game-related topics, talk strategy, give game play advice and provide feedback, all while you continue your quest to create the ultimate Legion. To facilitate a place where you can engage in such dialogue, we ask all forum members follow a set of guidelines known as the NCSOFT Forum Code of Conduct; or CoC for short. Please remember that your fellow players and forum users should always be treated with respect, without exception. If you take anything away from reading the CoC, it should be this. The best way for us to improve the experience for everyone on the forums, and in the game, is for us all to be able to reach mutual understanding. That doesn’t mean we’ll always agree, and it doesn’t mean we’ll always achieve a compromise, but it does mean that we have a better chance of understanding what everyone wants from the game and why. We won’t always agree with each other, and that’s okay! RESPECTING YOUR FELLOW FORUM USERS Discrimination and Slurs based on Race, Ethnicity, Sexuality, Gender or Gender Identity We want the NCSOFT forums to be a welcoming place for everyone, this means that discriminatory slurs both clear and masked in words or images are not appropriate, ever. Threats Members of our forums should feel safe to express their thoughts and opinions about the game, and to do so without fear or intimidation. To this end, any threat of physical harm toward another forum user will not be tolerated. Harassing or Defamatory Content For the same reason, harassing, bullying or defamatory content will also not be tolerated. Throwing around insults or targeting individuals or groups with malice has a negative effect on everyone’s experience in the forums. Harassment takes many forms, if we believe that there is an intent to bully other forum users or make them feel uncomfortable in this environment, action will be taken. Obscene / Vulgar or Inappropriate Language and/or Images Some people are comfortable with all kinds of colorful language and images, others are not. We ask that our forum members remember to treat each other with courtesy and respect, and remember we do not all have the same expectations when it comes to what is acceptable. Remember that if you can’t make your point without using vulgar language, you probably don’t have a point at all. Politics, Religion, and Sexual Content Politics, religion and sex can be fascinating subjects to discuss and debate, and as such there are many places online where people engage with these topics. The NCSOFT forums are not one of those places, if you want to talk about these topics we recommend you find a more appropriate venue. Spamming, Trolling, or Topic Bumping These forums are an excellent tool for us to collect feedback and keep up with issues that are important to the community. Being intentionally disruptive, derailing threads, creating threads meant to act as ‘votes’ or petitions instead of discussion points and creating posts or threads intended to cause unrest in the forums are not behaviors conducive to this goal. This includes, but is not limited to, bumping threads (except for clan or legion recruitment) and posting memetic images or phrases that add nothing to the discussion. RESPECTING THE FORUM ENVIRONMENT Community Managers & other NCSOFT Staff The most frequent staff members you may see posting on the forums are the Community Managers and Moderators. We enforce the CoC and respond to threads and posts, whether it is to address an issue or simply having fun. If you don’t see us responding, it isn’t because we are ignoring you. Sometimes we don’t have a good answer, or we are looking for an answer or we cannot comment on the issue at the time. We also have other work we have to do that isn’t on the forums so if you don’t see us around, we are working on something else for you! Impersonating an NCSOFT Employee Working for NCSOFT is cool. Passing yourself off as an NCSOFT employee is not. If you want to work for NCSOFT, you can apply here. Circumventing a Suspension / Ban To maintain the environment of the forums, it’s absolutely necessary that the moderators can do their jobs effectively. To facilitate this, any discussion of disciplinary action or moderation is not allowed, and circumventing suspensions by posting on another account or having another user post on your behalf is also not allowed. This includes posting any chat logs or email correspondence between a player and a Game Master (GM), Moderator, Administrator, or any member of NCSOFT staff. In addition, abusing the report feature makes it more difficult for Moderators to maintain the environment of the forums and as such will result in disciplinary action. Creating Duplicate Threads Forums can be a great platform for open discussions, and we want all the people interested in a topic to be able to engage with it in a meaningful way. One way to facilitate this is to use the search feature before creating a new thread. You can imagine what would happen to the forums if everyone created their own thread for every popular topic. If all comments about a particular issue are in one place, it makes it much easier for us to collate and act on any feedback. Creating multiple threads on the same topic does not make it more likely that your post will be seen, it does make it more likely you will irritate and confuse your fellow forum users. If a user creates multiple threads with the intention of drawing attention away from other threads, disciplinary action will be taken. This general rule also applies to abuse of formatting options, or any other manner of attempt to artificially draw attention to any post. BE SMART Distribution of Real-Life Personal Information The NCSOFT forums are a place for the discussion of AION: Legions of War, not real life. As such the release or distribution of any real-life information is not allowed, even your own. Cheats When we all play by the rules, we all win. This is especially true of games that can be competitive, like AION: Legions of War. We do not tolerate cheaters in the game, and we do not tolerate posting links to cheats or any other malicious programs on the forums. This includes in game exploits that affect the integrity of the game experience. We encourage players to report cheating and exploiting when they see it, to help us improve the experience for the overwhelmingly vast majority of honest players. Real Money Trading, Account Sharing and Selling We can’t allow real money trading or advertising for account sharing on the forums. Selling anything for real money, be it digital items, services or physical products is not allowed. Illegal Activities The NCSOFT forums are not a place for discussing illegal activity, and you may not violate any local, state, national or international laws or regulations. We recommend you don’t violate these laws anywhere at all, ever. Advertising The NCSOFT forums are not to be used for advertising non beneficial, non AION: Legions of War related businesses, organizations, or websites. Small Print The NCSOFT forums are a private message forum administered by NCSOFT. NCSOFT reserves the right to edit or remove any message board post or other content at will without notice for any reason. Posting privileges are provided as a courtesy that can be rescinded at any time, at our sole discretion. By using the forums, you agree that NCSOFT has a royalty-free, worldwide license to your posted text, graphics or other content for its business purposes. You must have an active AION: Legions of War account to post on the NCSOFT forums. Your forum account is linked to your game account. If you are banned from the game, you will not be able to post on the forums. You are responsible for adhering to not only the forum rules of conduct but also the AION: Legions of War User Agreement, depending on which forum you are participating in, and the applicable Rules of Conduct. If your forum posting privileges are suspended or banned, your game account will be reviewed and may be subject to further action. NCSOFT reserves the right to suspend your access to these forums at any time for reasons that include, but are not limited to, your failure to abide by this Code of Conduct. NCSOFT and its Community Team reserve the right to evaluate each incident on a case by case basis, and have full discretion when addressing any behavior that they determine is inappropriate. Any finalized decision may be based on the offending posters full history on the AION: Legions of War forums, as applicable. THANK YOU Thank you for taking the time to read the CoC! The NCSOFT forums should always be treated as environments where everyone can feel comfortable. This CoC is intended to be a set of guidelines that help create and maintain those environments, not a definitive list of every eventuality we may need to take action on.

    7. PvP & Duel Arena 101

Ready to begin battling other players in PvP? Read this brief overview to get started! >>> Have more to add? Help grow this guide and add your insights and screenshots to our Community Duel Arena Wikia page! <<< Upon achieving Legion Level 5, all players have access to the Duel Arena where you can test your skills in PvP combat and plot your party of Heroes against other players. To access the Duel Arena, tap on the Arena area when you are on the Fortress screen. Once you are in the Duel Arena, you can: 1. Duel your way to the top of the leaderboards. Challenge other players and have your party duke it out with their line-up to dominate the competition. Earn Battle Points for victories, and lose Battle Points from defeats. Players are ranked by Battle Points earned in each Season, a set period of time for players to duel and ascend the leaderboards until reset, which occurs at regular intervals. 2. Defend your honor. Set up a Defense Team to defend your honor when other players select you as their opponent. Your Defense Team will automatically battle against other players and ensure you do not lose points so you can maintain your rank on the leaderboards. 3. Earn Rewards and complete Daily Quests. Completing Duel Arena matches helps you to accomplish Daily Quests by acquiring points to unlock Honor Coins and other rewards. 4. Collect Honor Coins. Participating in Duel Arena awards Honor Coins. These can be used in the Honor Shop to purchase various items. Keep your eyes open for special time-limited PvP events that offer different rewards! 4. Fight against your rivals. The rival is your first encounter in the Duel Arena. When you win the battle, you can acquire special rewards. You will discover more rivals as you complete main story missions. Rival battles reset regularly and scale in difficulty as your rival adapts to your strategy over time! 5. Seek Revenge. You lose battle points if your Defense Team fails to defeat any challengers. When you log into the game again, you have the option to get your Revenge for any of your losses on the Defensive Combat screen.
    8. The Tower of Transcendence is a series of challenging battles where you must defeat foes to ascend as many floors as possible as fast as you can. A maximum of 100 floors may be ascended. Commanders are ranked on the leaderboard each season, which lasts for a set duration and resets regularly. Any commander who attempts to ascend the Tower of Transcendence is given rewards based on their performance at the end of the season they participate. The Tower of Transcendence is located next to the Duel Arena and Dungeon in the Fortress and unlocked at Legion Level 10. Each attempt to ascend a floor requires Energy. From the Tower of Transcendence, you can: 1. Defeat hordes of enemies. Enemies lurk on every floor of the Tower of Transcendence, ready to take on anyone who dares approach. Defeating the enemies on a floor results in the completion of that stage, and allows commanders to ascend to the next floor to attack the next wave of foes. The higher the floor you ascend, the more difficult the enemies! 2. Race to the top of the tower. Each stage you clear is another floor ascended. At the end of each stage, a "clear time" shows how long it took your party to defeat the foes on that floor, which is then used to compile your total time of ascent. Commanders with the fastest time and highest floor reached are placed on the leaderboard accordingly. 3. Strategize your way to victory. Many floors have bosses with unique abilities that require strategic thinking to defeat. Powerful enemies appear on every 5th and 10th floor, so wise commanders looking to maximize their leaderboard ranking should plan their party and battle plans accordingly. Tap the location info area to quickly change floors and scout out the slew of foes that await. 4. Collect rewards. Each floor offers unique rewards ranging from gold, Summonite Shards, Confinite and more! The higher the floor you clear, the better the reward will be. >>> The ascent up the Tower of Transcendence doesn’t stop here! To learn more and add your contributions to this guide, go HERE! <<<

This CoC is intended to be a set of guidelines that help create and maintain those environments, not a definitive list of every eventuality we may need to take action on.
